When I am not with my family or reading scientific papers, I am most likely found walking along Cascais coast or planning the next outing in nature - I love camping, kayaking and walking.

Professionally, after having done my share of lab work - recording neuronal activity in awake behaving animals, EEG in humans and doing fancy high field MRI, I have decided I want to do science differently, in a way that would satisfy my desire to understand human behavior in all its complexity and mishaps. In doing so, I also help build bridges between neuroscience and psychotherapy, which I admire as one of the ways humanity has invented to change itself.
